Even though I really enjoy heated discussion and reaching for different aspects of a given problem, I honestly cannot find any disadvantages of women liberation.
Almost each single day I feel a great relief that I was born in the 20th century, in a society where sex equality is guaranteed in the constitution. If we looked back in the past, we would easily see the improvement in a position of a woman in every social context: in civil law, at work, in marriage. Just 150 years ago in France for example, women couldnt possess or dispose of any property if she got married. She was entirely dependable on her husbands will - he had a power of life and death upon her. What is more, a working-class women were so often sexually molested nearly two-thirds of all children that were born outside marriages, were the children of servants. Moreover, a woman couldnt enter the university or get a divorce without her spouse's agreement.
Nowadays, we - the women - can be independent and make all our dreams come true. I can become a professor as well as a highly skilled IT professional. Some say that because of these gains the society is changing, as women forget about their proper, natural tasks: being a mother and a wife. Well, I cannot understand why a change should automatically mean a change for worse? To my mind, women emancipation has brought about major improvements in lives of both men and women.
